Inspiration

Owls have long held a place in art, mythology, and storytelling — appearing across centuries as quiet emblems of wisdom, intuition, and transformation.

They sit between light and dark — watchful, still, and often associated with a deeper kind of knowing.

I’ve been returning to owls again and again in my work, using textiles to explore how they can carry their own meaning and story, adding another layer and texture to these familiar emblems.

Description

Blue print on cream linen, lined with deep indigo cotton with resist spots, and finished with navy satin ribbon.

Designed to be worn, moved in and then displayed - they sit between adornment and artefact.

Materials and Techniques

Illustrated, hand printed and handmade, working from an archive of textiles mindfully sourced from India, or reclaimed from the costume and fashion industry, carefully chosen for their quality and ethos.

Due to the handmade nature of Animalesque creations, there maybe slight discrepancies between each piece. Every one is unique.

This design comes in one size

Each headdress ties around the head with ribbons, making them adjustable to fit all head shapes and sizes. The owl looks great on both kids and adults.
