Sample Sale

In making my animals by hand, each piece is unique. Some headdresses however aren’t quite up to the high quality that I aspire to.

The sample sale pieces are either slightly misprinted, mis-stitched, or pieces where I have experimented with different fabrics and techniques that haven’t quite made it into my current collections but will not go to waste. They are still beautiful and functional even with their imperfections and are hoping to find a loving home :)

Description

The original Animalesque rabbit illustration is hand-printed in charcoal grey onto cream organic cotton and lined with black and white striped cotton ticking. These sample pieces are finished with cream cotton grosgrain ribbon.

Materials and Techniques

Illustrated, hand printed and handmade in my waterside studio in Cornwall, working from an archive of textiles mindfully sourced from India, and surplus from theatre costume and fashion wardrobes.

Due to the handmade nature of Animalesque headdresses, allowances must be made for slight discrepancies between each piece.

Size

This headdress is made in one size with adjustable ribbons to fit all head shapes and sizes.
