Patchwork Rabbits
I’ve been having fun in the studio piecing together some of my favourite fabric off-cuts saved from past projects, collaborations and travels to create a limited edition collection of patchwork rabbits.
These limited edition and one-of-a-kind pieces are printed on an array of colourful linens and cottons and lined with thoughtfully mismatched floral block prints from India, striped cottons and silks from theatre wardrobes, and surplus Humphries & Begg prints from our collaboration.

Sample Sale
In making my animals by hand, each piece is unique. Some headdresses however aren’t quite up to the high quality that I aspire to.
The sample sale pieces are either slightly misprinted, mis-stitched, or pieces where I have experimented with different fabrics and techniques that haven’t quite made it into my current collections but will not go to waste. They are still beautiful and functional even with their imperfections and are hoping to find a loving home :)
Description
Charcoal print on a soft baby blue cotton, lined with thoughtfully mismatched striped cotton. Finished with red satin ribbons to tie around the head.
Materials and Techniques
Illustrated, hand printed and handmade in my waterside studio in Cornwall, working from an archive of textiles mindfully sourced from India, and surplus from theatre costume and fashion wardrobes.
Due to the handmade nature of Animalesque headdresses, allowances must be made for slight discrepancies between each piece.
Size
This headdress is made in one size with adjustable ribbons to fit all head shapes and sizes.
Measurements: 38cm by 15 cm. Ribbon length 50cm.

Inspiration
Inspired by Alice’s adventures in Wonderland, the White Rabbit Headdress was the beginning of my Animalesque journey and the first ever Animalesque design, initially created out of cardboard, paperclips and old ribbons over 10 years ago for a fancy dress party.
It has since been re-worked and developed and made in many different colours and fabrics.

The Signature White Rabbits are back! Printed in charcoal grey on natural organic cotton, and handmade using organic cottons and carefully selected surplus materials from the fashion and costume industry. Finished with black cotton grosgrain ribbon to tie around the head, this favourite classic storybook character leaps from the page and invites you to take a trip down the rabbit hole and bring your own tales to life.
