Inspiration

In collaboration with the fabulous Humphries & Begg, I'm excited to share this bright and sunny limited-edition collection of Animalesque headdresses. The collection uses their surplus printed organic cotton as linings, and is inspired by their wonderfully playful colours, patterns and style. 

Festivals or no festivals, kids or adults, these pieces will add sunshine and joy to your outfits this summer!

Description

The original Animalesque zebra illustration is hand printed in turquoise onto metallic silver fabric. Lined with Humphries & Begg Honeycomb print on organic cotton, and finished with turquoise satin ribbons to tie around the head.

Immersive and enchanting as playful costume accessories, these special creatures are just as beautiful hung on the wall to add a touch of whimsical charm to any child’s bedroom, and will become heirloom pieces long after the playing is done.

Materials and Techniques

Illustrated, hand printed and handmade in my east London studio, working from an archive of textiles mindfully sourced from India, or reclaimed from the costume and fashion industry, carefully chosen for their quality and ethos.

Due to the handmade nature of Animalesque headdresses, allowances must be made for slight discrepancies between each piece.

This headdress is made in one size to fit all.

Each headdress ties around your head with ribbons, making them adjustable to fit all head sizes including adults.
